Discovery Themes: Explore. Choose. Grow

How to choose discovery modules

Discovery modules offer you the opportunity to study beyond your core subject, to pursue an existing interest or try something new. Alternatively, you may choose to deepen your knowledge or to approach your subject from a different perspective. Discovery modules are available to most students, however you should check with your School, or log in to Leeds for Life to check whether you need to choose discovery modules.

You can click on any of the 10 Discovery Themes below to find out more and you are encouraged to explore the modules and different learning pathways available, or feel free to create your own personalised path through one or more of the Themes.

When you find discovery modules you are interested in, you can add them to a list in ‘My discovery modules’. It is worth adding more to your list than you actually need, as some discovery modules might not fit your timetable, depending on when the teaching takes place. You can print your list or email it to yourself and refer to it during your online enrolment. (Module Enrolment is completed online and accessed via the Portal)
